Cairns: Liveaboard Trips (Outer Barrier reef)
Outer Barrier Reef
 Dive
trips to the Outer Barrier Reef are ideal for all
levels of experience and for those
with limited time. You may do a trip in as little as 2 days/1 night
and usually get the opportunity to log 6 or 7 dives - including
a night dive!
Alternatively, you may stay for much longer with
either Deep
Sea Divers Den or Cairns
Dive Centre. Both of these companies use transfer vessels each
day to transfer passengers to and from the respective liveaboards,
meaning you may stay for as long as you like.The liveaboards stay
permanently out on the reef - usually moving twice a day* to vary
the dive sites.
Pro
Dives' liveaboard on the other hand departs from Cairns and
returns to Cairns after 3 days and 2 nights. For this reason you
can only book 3 day 2 night trips with Pro Dive. With 3 liveaboards
each leaving twice a week, you can depart with Pro Dive any day
except Sunday.
